Oman is a country in West Asia. It is located on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula and overlooks the mouth of the Arabian Gulf. It shares land borders with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
Oman has one of the most diverse environments in the Middle East with various tourist attractions and is particularly well known for adventure and cultural tourism. Muscat, the capital of Oman, was named the second bestcity to visit in the world in 2012 by the travel guide publisher Lonely Planet. Muscat also was chosen as the Capital of Arab Tourism of 2012. In 2024, the city of Sur has been selected as the capital of Arab tourism.
The Sultanate of Oman is rich in cultural elements and heritage locations, of which some are recognized by international organizations concerned with cultural affairs.
The country is also internationally recognized for its scientific, social and reformist impact of a number of Omani figures, whose sciences have benefited humanity in the fields of linguistics, medicine, literature, navigation or social work. This indicates the uniqueness of this country and the greatness of its history.

The Sultanate of Oman will arrange for participants’ visas communicated by ICESCO, provided that the applicant for the visa attaches a clear scanned copy of the data page of the passport, and an (official) photograph with a white background, taking into account that the passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry to the Sultanate of Oman. The Sultanate of Oman will provide reception and transportation services for conference delegations from Muscat International Airport to the venue of the conference (Al Bustan Palace Hotel).
The host country will provide transportation for visits scheduled within the conference program.
Yes. The Oman National Transport Company (Mwasalat) provides public transportation services in Muscat. Traditional taxis and application-based taxis (Otaxi, Tasleem Taxi) are also available.
